OEO is the pouch brand our retail accounts reorder most often after ZYN, and the reason is simple: 20 pouches a can instead of 15, a 9mg strength that ZYN does not make, and a flavor list wide enough to fill a full pouch shelf without a second brand. It is also the brand that generates the most questions from new accounts, because the flavor list is not the same at every strength and the unflavored SKUs have confusingly similar names (Clear, Smooth, Classic, Original). This guide clears that up. Below is every OEO flavor we stock, which strengths it comes in, how each one ranks on sell-through in our accounts, and the math on what to order first.

Every flavor ranked by sell-through
Ranking reflects what our retail accounts reorder most often. Your store will vary; mint-heavy convenience locations lean even harder on the top three.
1. Cool Mint (3, 6, 9mg)
The default. Cool Mint is the SKU our accounts reorder first and most often, and it is the flavor a ZYN Cool Mint user will pick up first when ZYN is out of stock. Stock all three strengths; 6mg outsells 3mg and 9mg combined.
2. Wintergreen (3, 6, 9mg)
The dip-and-chew crossover flavor. Wintergreen skews older and male and toward 9mg, and it is the strength-flavor combination most likely to sell out on you. If you carry only one 9mg SKU, make it this one.
3. Spearmint (3, 6, 9mg)
Sweeter and softer than Cool Mint, and the flavor with the highest repeat rate once tried. Under-ordered by new accounts; we recommend facing it next to Cool Mint rather than below it.
4. Citrus (3, 6, 9mg)
The best-selling non-mint flavor by a wide margin, a lemon-orange profile that reads as fresh rather than candy. Citrus is the SKU that pulls in customers who say they do not like mint.
5. Peppermint (3, 6, 9mg)
Sharper than Cool Mint with a stronger cooling effect. Sells mostly at 9mg to heavy users. One facing is enough for most stores.
6. Cherry (3, 6, 9mg)
The second fruit flavor and the one with the broadest demographic; cherry pulls a noticeably younger adult and more female buyer than the mints. Stock 6mg first.
7. Original (6, 9mg)
The top unflavored SKU. Original is what former smokers who dislike mint end up on, and 9mg Original is one of the quiet workhorses of the line.
8. Blue Chill (6mg only)
A blue-raspberry profile with light cooling, only made at 6mg. It is the flavor that surprises accounts: modest volume but very loyal buyers.
9. Chill (6mg only)
Light menthol without the mint sweetness. Think of it as the bridge between Cool Mint and the unflavored SKUs.
10–12. Clear, Smooth, Classic (unflavored variants)
These three are the source of most of the confusion. All are unflavored. Clear is the most neutral (3, 6, 9mg). Smooth is slightly softer on the throat (6, 9mg). Classic has a faint tobacco-leaning note (6, 9mg). Combined they are a small share of volume, and the 6mg versions are currently sold out at our warehouse, so order 9mg if you need an unflavored SKU right now.
What to order first: a $300 opening order
For a store adding OEO to an existing pouch set, this is the opening order we build most often. It covers the bulk of demand with nine SKUs and keeps you under $300.
| SKU | Cans | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Cool Mint 6mg | 10 | $59.90 |
| Cool Mint 9mg | 5 | $29.95 |
| Wintergreen 6mg | 5 | $29.95 |
| Wintergreen 9mg | 5 | $29.95 |
| Spearmint 6mg | 5 | $29.95 |
| Citrus 6mg | 5 | $29.95 |
| Cherry 6mg | 5 | $29.95 |
| Original 9mg | 5 | $29.95 |
| Cool Mint 3mg | 3 | $17.97 |
| Total | 48 cans | $287.52 |
If you want to test the brand before that, the OEO 10-can bundle is $49.99 (regularly $59.99), mix-and-match across 3mg to 9mg, and it is the single most common first order we ship.
Margin math versus ZYN
OEO costs a dollar more per can than ZYN wholesale ($5.99 versus $4.99) but carries five more pouches, so the per-pouch cost is lower: about 30 cents versus 33 cents. More importantly, the market tolerates a higher shelf price on a 20-count can. Most of our accounts retail OEO at $8.99 and ZYN at $6.99–$7.99, which puts OEO’s gross margin per can around $3.00 against roughly $2.00–$3.00 for ZYN. Carry both: ZYN brings the customer in, OEO is what you upsell them to at 9mg.
